Summary: Works Like a Charm

Works like a charm "out of the box". Don't know why some have complained about the lack of an eject button there is one on mine (top right of machine), .This is a good heavy streamlined machine. Yes, a bit pricey but I think it is well worth the investment. Have also noted complaints about the location of the power on/off button (top left of machine). If it is too much trouble to reach over to it merely use the furnished remote controller. Same goes for the disk eject/open button, use the remote if you can't stretch your arm. Geeeeesh, some people are fussy (lazy?)

I got this as a gift for christmas. It broke after 2 months and LG will not support without a receipt! For ~450 dollars you would think they could send a repair man to my place in a his own helicopter. Dont buy it!

Summary: DOPE SHOW !!!

This is my first blu-ray player and after doing all my homework I decided that this was the best player on the market. My research served me well. The set up was simplistic and fast, but lets face it no electronic is difficult to set up now n days. The picture is amazing and the home page to access the netflix, youtube and other instant streaming video stores are easy to use and I have never had a glitch, freeze or any other annoying circumstances that have interfered with any play. If you are looking for a blu-ray player get this, it's worth it.

Summary: NO LDR

This unit is in my bedroom, so NOT my main player. I used it maybe 10 times to play mostly blu-ray's. It started making noises and I got the loader fail message. I called the 800 number and they had me reset it by holding the power button. It worked long enough to play one blu-ray, then it started doing the same thing. I called LG back and they said I would have to send it in (paying for shipping both directions) and that it would cost $70 for labor...as the labor warranty is only 3 months...go figure it is 6 months old. So with shipping I'll put another $100 into the unit. Not impressed at all...granted I probably got the 1 unit out of a 100 that has an issue...but I'm going to have to put more money into it. I hope to try and contact Amazon to see if they can help me, since LG is not being real understanding.

Summary: Outstanding DVD

The LG performs as advertised. I bought this model for the features it offers. The wireless internet works without any problems. I have had no problems and works flawlessly. The picture quality from this unit is outstanding. CNet rated this unit high, and it is performing and functioning as reviewed. You can not go wrong for the price and the overall features.
